Specifications

About This Material

A light grey ground carries flowing grey and black cloudlike veining with subtle golden highlights; polished slabs have a soft, lustrous appearance and naturally varied patterns. Supplier-declared properties Specific gravity: approx. 2.5 g/cm³; dense, softly textured stone. Compressive strength: approx. 115 MPa. Water absorption: low; natural micropores are present, so clean acidic spills promptly. Mohs hardness: 3.5–4; scratches show readily on the light-colored surface, so handle and install carefully. Gloss: approx. 120; the source describes good abrasion resistance and recommends indoor decorative use. Characteristics Naturally formed grey and gold veining varies from slab to slab. The light grey ground and layered grey-black markings create a softly luxurious look. Can be cut, shaped, curved and waterjet-patterned; finishes include polished, honed/matte and suede-textured surfaces. Pairing with metal, wood finishes and lighting is suggested for lobbies, reception desks and bars. Applications Walls: reception feature walls, living-room TV and sofa walls, entrance feature walls and hotel-lobby walls. Countertops: reception desks, dining and coffee tables, islands and bar tops; seal thoroughly. Floors: villa living rooms, hotel lobbies and club corridors; provide slip-resistant treatment and use in low-traffic areas. Decor: artwork backdrops, fireplace surrounds, stair treads and waterjet-patterned floors. Care The source calls for factory-applied sealing because natural stone has capillaries. Avoid prolonged contact with strong acids and oil; clean spills promptly and renew the protective treatment periodically. Available finishes Polished Honed/matte Suede-textured
