About This Material

Cream and pale beige tones are crossed by golden and reddish-brown veins above broad blue-green, softly layered areas with a semi-translucent, stone-like appearance. Supplier-declared properties Density: approx. 2.6–2.75 g/cm³. Compressive strength: 80–120 MPa; flexural strength is described as medium, with no figure supplied. Water absorption: relatively low; this carbonate stone has micropores and poor acid resistance. Acidic liquids can etch it and dull the finish. Mohs hardness: 3–4 (medium); sharp hard objects may scratch it. Some crystal areas transmit light and can be backlit. Characteristics Natural slab patterns are unique, with layered cream, beige, gold, ochre-red and blue-green areas and a semi-translucent jade-like appearance. Polishing produces a lustrous, crystal-like surface. Can be cut, shaped, curved and waterjet-patterned. Applications Walls: living-room TV and entrance feature walls, hotel and club focal walls, elevator-hall walls. Tops: dining and coffee tables, islands, reception desks and bathroom vanities; seal thoroughly. Floors: villa living rooms and entrances in low-traffic areas; not recommended for busy passageways. Decor: artistic murals, decorative objects and stair treads. Care Seal natural capillaries before use. Avoid strong acids, including vinegar and acidic cleaners, and renew protection periodically.
