About This Material

Rich golden and amber tones meet bold dark grey and charcoal bands in diagonal, flame-like movement, with crystalline highlights after polishing. Supplier-declared properties Density: approx. 2.65–2.72 g/cm³. Compressive strength: 100–150 MPa; flexural strength: 10–15 MPa. Water absorption: approx. 0.1%–0.3%; dense, but carbonate-based and only moderately acid-resistant. Avoid acidic liquids. Mohs hardness: 3–4 (medium); the polished surface is glossy and sharp objects may scratch it. Layered crystals are visible; some areas show mineral sparkle and a strong mirror effect after polishing.
